Man Injured, Yorkie Killed in Pit Bull Attack

The neighbor suffered a few scratches and bites when he tried to intervene. Another neighbor tried to scare the dog away with a metal rod. The pit bull was hit in the back with the pole and he bent it. He let out a yelp but was fine otherwise.

The dog owner and the neighbor both went to the hospital for medical treatment. Animal Control is now investigating the incident. The pit bull is currently on a 10-day quarantine. Its owner could face criminal charges for the attack. The owner has inquired about euthanizing the dog.
